About me
WELCOME to my WEB page!. My name is JOSE V. GAVILA. I live in Spain, at about 15km from the East Mediterranean coast, in a town called La Canyada, near Valencia, where I was born in May 1968. I am Telecommunications Engineer since February 1994 and an active Radio-Amateur since 1991. I hold the EB5AGV callsign since January 1992. I work phone and some digital modes on HF. I used to work digital satellites, both 1200 baud PSK and 9600 baud FSK, when there were such kind of sats.
Since June 2012, my professional activity is centered around radio communication and I have started my own company, AGVradio
My hobbies
My main activity during the last years has been fixing Amateur Radio equipment. To do that, I also buy and fix test equipment which is, on itself, a nice hobby.
On 2018 I began with a new hobby which is growing fast. It is music, and technically mainly fixing electronic musical equipment, besides of course learning to play piano/keyboard.
On the same topic, since February 2025 I am learning to play and fix accordions. It is a wonderful instrument!

Another of my favourite toys was (I sold it on December 2012) a '92 Citroën XM 2.0 Turbo CT
On February 2018 I got into electronic musical instruments. My first one was a YAMAHA SY77
